Miss Wheeler and Mrs Harris here.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to every single one of you in year 1. We have had such a fantastic year, we have all gone from strength to strength. We could not be prouder of the children you all become and want you to know we are always here if you need  a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to your summer stories.

We love you year 1! 🙂

Awesome Artists PACT afternoon!

July21

What a super afternoon we all had for our last topic in year 1. It was great to have our family come and help us create an African inspired mask, which we got to take home. They looked amazing.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who came and spent the afternoon with us.

We have had an amazing year and this afternoon was an amazing way to celebrate all of our learning.

Year 1 – you are the best! Thank you 🙂

Emily always presents her work neatly. For her extended write this time Emily had included all of the success criteria, remembering to even join some of the letters together. Her work was a delight to read and very neat.

Klimt vs Kandinsky!

July7

In art today we completed our masterpieces. We have worked extremely hard to combine two artists work into one and complete it in our own style. This piece of art has taken two weeks to complete and along with Miss Wheeler we are really proud of the final piece.

What do you think?

The door locks and the lights go out…What happens next?

July7

In literacy we have been recreating our own statue, similar to the statues in Night at the Museum we used our imagination to stand still like our drawing. Then when Mrs Parker rang the bell we woke up and became a character who could talk, walk and move around the art gallery. Some of us even had different languages.
